The Nationalist Party in a statement has said that it shares the same concerns shown by the Malta Union of Teachers over the plans for a new primary school in Victoria, Gozo.
The PN said that, “rather than build a new school with modern facilities each year as did a PN government, this government will be greatly reducing the outdoor recreational space for the middle school students and worsening the existing school environment.”
“The government also didn’t carry out any consultations or discussions about the proposed plans with either teachers, students or their parents, who had to find out about it through the media,” the PN said.
The Nationalist Party called on the government to “at least revive the plan practised by a PN government of a new school each year. Students and teachers deserve better,” it said.
