OASI Project – Serenity Garden, help needed for new garden
|Email item||Print item||
Project Serenity Garden – has been set up by the OASI Treatment Centre in Gozo, in order to re-create the current area into a tranquil environment, which it said, “will allow clients somewhere peaceful and serene to relax, ponder and consider a brighter future.”
The Centre explained that the garden will be good for staff, clients and all concerned.
Volunteer services to help transform the garden have been offered by 15 HSBC Gozo Branch staff members on the 19th of March, St Joseph’s Day – a public holiday.
The OASI Treatment Centre said that it plans to prepare as much as possible before the event in order make good use of the time on the day in laying out the garden.
The plan is that the area should be as ‘maintenance free’ as possible and they are therefore asking for assistance with donations or with supplying any of the following plants:
2 Olive trees
Acalyphas (coloured leaves)
Schefflera (umbrella plants)
Eventually OASI also plans to incorporate a gazebo with table and chairs for outside relaxation, some benches and also a bird aviary. The statues will be refurbished and form focal points.
Those who are able to contribute in any way to the project, should please contact Demis Bajada at OASI on 21563333.
They are also available at: OASI Foundation 5, Wied Sara Street, Victoria, VCT 2963, Gozo, or by email on firstname.lastname@example.org
