Celebrations in Victoria for Feast of St John Bosco on Sunday

The Feast of St John Bosco is being celebrated at the Oratorju Don Bosco in Victoria Gozo tomorrow, Sunday, the 4th of February.
This is the day of the liturgical feast of this modern saint whose pastoral actions over a hundred and twenty years ago have echoed throughout the 20th century and served as catalyst for the Salesian Movement that has the betterment of youth as one of its distinctive charismas.
Sunday, at 9.00am, on the Solemnity of St John Bosco at Oratorju Don Bosco, there will be a solemn Mass celebrated by Gozo Bishop Mgr Mario Grech, with the participation of the Laudate Pueri Choir under the direction of Can. George Frendo.
Then at 10.00am by a parade of animals and pets from St Francis Square to St Augustine Square, where there will be the blessing carried out by Mons. Gorg Tabone.
The procession will leave at 5.30pm with the statue of St John Bosco, led by Mons Joseph Sultana, Archpriest of the Cathedral, accompanied by the Leone Band on the procession with the performance of religious hymns.
The Don Bosco Grand Concert – The Big Picture, will start at 7.30pm, to mark the occasion of the Don Bosco Feast, presented by the Gozo Youth Wind Band.
