Alternattiva Demokratika – The Green Party strongly condemns the vandalism at Kirkop cemetery, where 70% of tombstones and graves were broken into and damaged by vandals last night.
Arnold Cassola, Alternattiva Demokratika Chairperson, said, “Such senseless destruction is the fruit of small minds, people who cannot respect and tolerate the opinions and sentiments of others, even after death.”
“The recent destructive wave of episodes of violence against both living and dead people which has recently hit our country is a worrying sign of ethical decadence and lack of tolerance and has to be seriously addressed,” concluded Prof. Cassola.
