Xaghra Council hosts delegation from twinned towns in Italy and France

Xaghra Local Council recently hosted a delegation from the localities of Mergo in Italy and Chevaigné in France.
The visit to Xaghra was organised as part of a programme of activities to commemorate the existing twinning agreement between the three villages.
The delegation of fifty people had the opportunity to visit several places of historical interest around Xaghra and Gozo including the Ggantija Temples, Ta’ Kola Windmill, Xerri’s Grotto, Ninu’s Cave, the Citadel, Dwejra and more…
There was also a conference at the Xaghra Youth Centre, with the participation of two speakers from MUESAC.
Xaghra Council said that these activities were funded by the Europe for Citizens Programme of the European Union.
