Something in the AiRThere is an exciting opportunity for young Gozitans to take part in a dance and movement project by artist Gdalit Neuman, which will be taking place in Gozo between the 1st and the 12th of May.

Spazju Kreattiv is inviting boys and girls in Gozo aged 13 – 17 to register their interest to participate in – Something in the AiR. No dance experience is required.

Artist Gdalit Neuman, is a Canadian-Israeli dancer, choreographer and educator. She has performed with the Rina Schenfeld Dance Theatre and The Israeli Opera,.

Neuman has choreographed independently both in Israel and Canada, and has been on faculty at Canada’s National Ballet School and York University’s Department of Dance in Toronto.

Issues will be explored that are important to you by using movement techniques, Spazju Kreattiv said that participation in the project is free.

“What makes you unique as a young Gozitan person? How do you see yourself as a citizen of Gozo, Malta, Europe, the world? What are your aspirations for the future? How is your generation unique and different from that of your parents or grandparents? What traditions do you hold dear and which ones are no longer relevant to you?”

Spazju Kreattiv want to hear from you, and of course, dance with you – Interested persons are kindly asked to apply by email to spazju@kreattivita.org by noon of Friday, the 2nd of March.

Please include following details: Name and surname of participant – Age – Address – Email address – Phone Number – Availability between the 1st and 12th of May (including weekends) in Gozo and the reason why you want to participate (100 words)

They said that applicants should also include name and surname, email and phone number of one parent or guardian.
