Ghajnsielem Redcoats receives € 58,350 from NGOs fundParliamentary Secretary for Youth, Sport and Voluntary Organisations Clifton Grima has signed the NGO co-financing fund grant agreement whereby five voluntary organisations, which includes the Ghajnsielem Redcoats from Gozo, will receive a total of € 58,346.35.

These NGOs have completed a number of different co-financed projects. The fund is administered by the Parliamentary Secretariat for Youth, Sport and Voluntary Organisations within the Ministry of Education.

Altogether, these organisations will have received a total of € 1,088,987.66, which includes the amount received at the initial approval of the project.

During the presentation of the funds, the Parliamentary Secretary Clifton Grima thanked the representatives of voluntary organisations for the important work they carried out.

He added that the Government is committed to continue to help the voluntary sector, saying that EU funds play an important role in the development of NGOs.

Apart from the Ghajnsielem Redcoats Baseball and Softball Club, the other voluntary organisations that received funds were Cross Culture International Foundation, Foundation for Shelter and Support to Migrants, BirdLife Malta and the Malta Regional Development and Dialogue Foundation.
