Bethlehem f’Ghajnsielem closes on Sunday with Adoration of the Magi

This coming Sunday – the Feast of the Epiphany – the Adoration of the Magi at Bethlehem f’Ghajnsielem will close this year’s 9th edition of the Nativity Village.
Thousands of visitors have been to the Nativity Village since it opened on the 10th of December, and this Sunday will be the last chance for visitors to see the grotto with Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus, vegetable and fish markets, carpenters and blacksmith, as well as a bakery.
The Three Kings will depart at 10am from Mellieha’s main square to Cirkewwa and then on to Gozo, where they will be welcomed at the Nativity Village of Bethlehem f’Ghajnsielem.
This popular event which is free of charge, has over 200 actors taking part in the village, which is spread over 20,000 square metres in the quaint village of Ghajnsielem.
This Saturday, the 6th of January, the animation will be from 4.30pm until 8.00pm.
On Sunday, the 7th of January, the last day, the Nativity Village will animated between 2.00pm and 8.00pm.
The public is being invited to follow the Adoration of the Magi by following the schedule below:
2.15 pm Departure from Cirkewwa with Gozo Channel Ferry.
2.45 pm Arrival in Mgarr Harbour, to departure to Ghajnsielem main streets at 3.00pm.
The Three wise men will make the triumphant entrance at the nativity village, Bethlehem f’Ghajnsielem, at around 4.00pm stopping at the grotto to present gifts to baby Jesus.
