Proposed plans for a new Primary School to be built in Victoria, Gozo, were submitted to the Planning Authority on the 4th of December.
This was said by the Minister for Education and Employment Evarist Bartolo, in reply to a recent Parliamentary Question by the Gozitan Nationalist Party MP Chris Said.
Dr Said in his question, had asked the Minister at what stage was the process to build a new primary school in Victoria, where and when was the new school to be built and whether a application for the project was with the Planning Authority?
The Minister also said in his reply that the new school will be built as an extension to the educational complex in Triq l-Ewropa, Victoria and that work is expected to begin towards the end of 2018.
In a post on his facebook page Dr Said remarked that this was the fourth time that the site had been changed for the new school, which should have been ready to welcome students years ago.
