Feast of Joy at the Gozo General Hospital this coming Sunday

A day of activities has been organised at the Gozo General Hospital this Sunday. associated with Christmas, in order to encourage blood donations – Feast of Joy.
The event is being organised on the initiative of a number of workers from the Blood Donation Department, Out Patients and Health Promotion unit within the Gozo General Hospital for all employees of the hospital together with the general public.
The day’s events will begin with a Pontifical Mass at 9.30am in the chapel of the hospital by Mgr. Mario Grech, Bishop of Gozo.
Then from 10.30am onwards, there will be a programme of singing and playing of Christmas music at the hospital entrance, as well as around the wards. Guest artists include the Piccole Stelle Choir, Ruth Portelli, Mario Borg, the Hospital Choir, and the Levita Laurentius Choir.
This will be accompanied by Father Christmas, who will distribute sweets and gifts to all patients throughout the hospital.
Also on Sunday morning, staff and visitors to the hospital are encouraged to take the opportunity to donate blood between 8.00am and 1.00pm, for the priceless gift that is so needed. It is important that all those who wish to donate bring with them their identity card.
The event will take place on Sunday, the 17th of December, from 9.30am onwards, everyone is invited to attend.
