Christmas in Gozo festivities have their official opening on Saturday

Gozo is a magical place to spend the Christmas holidays, with every village on the island being involved in the festivities.
There will be concerts, living and static cribs, exhibitions, Christmas Fairs, pageants and much more.
Many of the houses in the old streets of the villages and in the city of Victoria, open their doors and shutters so those that pass by can enjoy their Christmas decorations and cribs
This Saturday will see the official opening of the Christmas festivities by the Minister for Gozo Justyne Caruana, who will switch on the Christmas Tree in Independence Square, and various Christmas lights.
The Christmas programme of events in Gozo will continue until Sunday, the 7th of January and details can be found on the official Christmas in Gozo facebook page.
Saturday evening’s free, family-friendly event, gets underway at 7.30pm and will feature the Malta Concert Orchestra, under the direction of Maestro Paul Abela, performing a Christmas music concert.
The orchestra will be accompanied by the Piccole Stelle Choir, Aurora Youth Choir, Deborah C, Stefania Grech, Aldo Busuttil, Sarah Bonnici, Francesca Borg, Josef Tabone, and Lawrence Gray.
Everyone is invited to go along and help get the Christmas in Gozo festivities off to a great start.
