A Gozitan school student from Year 5 of Gozo College Victoria Primary, has won the national competition – Labels are for Clothes, not for People – which was an inclusion awareness campaign by Inspire Gozo.
The campaign was supported by this year’s Ministry for Gozo Non- Government Organisations Assistance Scheme.
The Ministry for Gozo said that it supported this important campaign because it believes in inclusion and different abilities and skills should be available for children.
Local children were invited to submit drawings on what inclusion means to them. The winning design has been printed on to cotton shopping bags, to be distributed free of charge to customers at Arkadia in Victoria.
Arkadia said that they are pleased to help out Inspire Gozo on this latest initiative. These bags are available from Arkadia Foodstore in Gozo. A limited stock is available.
