Matsec exam applications have opened today and the Education Ministry has said that the exam fees have been halved as promised in the budget.

It added that as from next year the exams will be free. “The ultimate goal of this measure is to make education more accessible to everyone,” the Ministry said.

The Ministry said that a few weeks ago, O and A-level past papers were also made available to the public free of charge.
