Gozo Philatelic Exhibition opening at the Gozo Ministry Hall

Tomorrow – A to Zed Stamps – this year’s Gozo Philatelic Exhibition, will be inaugurated by the Minister for Gozo Dr Justyne Caruana.
Organised by the Gozo Philatelic Society, the exhibition is being held in the Gozo Ministry Exhibition Hall, in St Francis Square, Victoria.
This eighteenth edition of the exhibition will interest all stamp collectors and the general public, with a wide range of stamps to view, social philately, junior offerings and samples from the Juncker Melitensia collection.
Vintage and Modern Stamps, Postal history, Rare Postal Items, will all be on display. Albums, Cards and stamps etc. can also be acquired by Junior, Beginner, and Advanced Collectors.
The Committee said that this year it is experimenting with a new classification system to continue strengthening interest.
The distribution of certificates and prizes, which are sponsored by MaltaPost, to all exhibitors takes place during the GPS AGM in January.
Visitors to the exhibition will be able to pick up copies of the latest GPS Newsletter, the award-winning full-colour quarterly. Junior visitors can also claim free stamps.
A commemorative postmark is being issued by MaltaPost tomorrow, from its Victoria Branch Post Office, with the GPS offering a limited edition postcard and personalised stamp.
The exhibition will remain open till Thursday, the 9th (including Saturday and Sunday) there is no entrance charge to visitors.
