Gozo SPCA said that with the Government Animal Welfare Department in Gozo currently unable to offer any rescue service, it is receiving more calls than usual requesting their help and therefore they are needing homes for kittens and dogs so they are able to take more in.
They have kittens available for rehoming immediately and others that are still quite young and will be ready over the coming weeks. Two available now are Franky a male tabby and Milly a ginger and white female, both seen above.
Gozo SPCA Rescue and Rehoming Centre is open on Saturday morning, from 8-11am, so please go along and see the kittens and dogs waiting for loving forever homes.
There will also be a Gozo SPCA stall at the Charity Fair in Victoria on Sunday morning, and they can also open the Centre then on request, just go and see them on their stall. The Centre is the other side of the playing field in Victoria, directly behind the Aurora Theatre.
In September Gozo SPCA rehomed 7 dogs and 7 kittens from their Centre. So far this year they have rehomed 47 Dogs, 3 Cats and 74 Kittens, neutered 497 female cats and 204 male cats.
They said that this excludes many others who they helped find homes for, but direct from owners and foster homes.
