A short film challenge was launched last month by Malta International Airport in collaboration with the Malta Film Commission.
It revolves around the hashtag #mysecretmalta. The organisers said that besides helping talented videographers reach wider audiences, the short film challenge aims to showcase the Maltese islands from different angles and highlight the many film location opportunities for producers and directors.
A week was all that interested participants had, to work on, and submit, their short films stretching from two to five minutes, this included an entry from Gozo – Fed’s World.
Organisers said that the islands’ dazzlingly blue seas, festas, churches, picture-perfect spots, and a couple of interesting locals feature prominently in the competition’s twelve finalist films.
The public is invited to vote online for its favourite finalist by this coming Sunday, the 15th of October, by visiting this link.
A prize of €2,500 will be awarded to the entry that gets most votes from the public. A second cash prize of €5,000 will go to the participant whose submission gets the vote of approval of a judging panel composed of representatives from Malta International Airport, the Malta Film Commission, and a film industry professional.
