Gozitan astrophysicist Dr Joseph Caruana, has met with the Minister for Gozo Dr Justyne Caruana.
During their meeting at the Ministry, they discussed astronomy and space sciences, and their respective potential in Gozo.
Light pollution in Gozo was also on the agenda, and the Minister for Gozo said that, the Ministry is committed to create more awareness on this subject.
From 2012 to 2016 he was a postdoctoral researcher in astrophysics at the Leibniz-Institut für Astrophysik (AIP) in Potsdam, working in the Galaxies & Quasars group.
Prior to that Dr Caruana was a doctoral student in the high-redshift group at the University of Oxford, where he read for a DPhil in astrophysics as a Marie Curie research fellow in ELIXIR – a network associated with the NASA/ESA James Webb Space Telescope NIRSpec Instrument.
