Malta International Airshow ready to wow the crowds this weekend

Visitors to this weekend’s 25th edition of the Malta International Airshow 2017, will be able to enjoy watching the impressive line-up of aircraft at the airport, and later in the afternoon, move on to Smart City Malta (limits of Xghajra/Kalkara) to enjoy the exciting displays of some unique aircraft and helicopters.
Held annually each September the Malta International Airport (ex: RAF Luqa) , the Malta International Air Show, one of Malta’s largest outdoor events, has gained the well-earned reputation as one of Malta’s top outdoor family events.
It hosts many aircraft that come from all over the world. Some of the aircraft are military while others vary from one another according to purpose.

The Airshow gates (on the Hal Farrug Rd) open at 9.30am and close at 2.00pm. The general public will be urged to exit the airshow grounds by 3.00pm. Parking is free.
This will allow ample time to go over to Smart City Malta to watch the flying display which should start by 4.00pm and continues into the early evening.
Tickets are available at the Airshow Gate: Adults on Saturday and Sunday are €10, children under 14 free, but must be accompanied by a paying adult. Tickets are valid for one day only.
Public Transport is available from Valletta Terminal to Hal Farrug every hour using Bus No 74. The frequency of this service may be increased depending on demand. Ideal Bus Stops are either Bus Stop ‘Russett’ or ‘Wilga’.
For smart City, Public Transport is available from Valletta Terminal to Smart City every 30mins using Bus No 3. The frequency of this service may be increased depending on demand. Ideal Bus stop is SmartCity.
