Air Malta has announced the introduction of a new range of prices – Go Light – fares will be available from €39 one-way including all taxes.
The hand luggage only one-way will be starting from just €39. This type of fare, is the first step Air Malta said it is taking to “become a hybrid airline.”
Minister For Tourism Dr Konrad Mizzi said that this initiative is part of the Air Malta’s revitalisation process and is expected to increase sales in the coming weeks.
The Minister also announced that Air Malta is also working on a number of new routes and frequencies.
Dr Charles Mangion, Air Malta’s Chairman added, “the changes introduced today are the first tangible proof of a changing National Airline. This is a bold step for us, aimed to offer an enhanced and superior product whilst also increasing much needed revenue.”
“These changes have been implemented following the feedback and comments received from customers,” he added.
Air Malta said that it has also overhauled all its charges and reduced its lowest fares for Go Light. “Furthermore, in order to achieve extra benefits for seat reservation, flexibility, and so on, customers can choose either of the two other economy class products: Go Smart or Go Flex.”
The airline said that Business Class has also be given three new product categories from which customers can select their preferred option according to their requirements. These being: Just Business, Smart Business, and Business Freedom.
