Malta International Airport check-in hall is undergoing a reorganisation as part of the airport’s ongoing €12 million project.
Some changes have already been made in the area, however, MIA in a statement said that, major works will be getting underway in the coming days, in preparation for the upgrade of the airport’s Baggage Handling System.
Works will include embellishment of the pre-security screening area and a refurbishment of the washrooms at ground floor level.
Then in the last quarter of the year, MIA said that modernisation of the airport’s Baggage Handling System will pave the way for the installation of eight additional check-in desks.
The new check-in desks, which are envisaged to be operational by the first quarter of 2018, will enable the airport to improve its efficiency in processing its passengers, it said.
