Gozo University Group holds AGM with a new Executive The Annual General Meeting of the Gozo University Group was held today at the Ministry of Gozo. The amendments to the current statute were approved and the new executive was elected. A roundup of the past year’s events was also made.

Loradine Pisani chaired today’s AGM, during which the previous executive members reported on their respective roles and events carried out throughout the year; events which were challenging but all successful, they said.

GUG President, Maria Dimech, spoke of the importance of team work which is the main tool to tackle any problem. Dimech is in her second term as President of the organisation. She said that she believes that by being President for the second time, she can learn from her past experiences and lead the GUG with greater confidence.

The new logo of the organisation was confirmed during the AGM. This new logo commemorates the 30th anniversary since the foundation of the organisation in 1987, a new revamped website has also been launched.

Manuel Xuereb, Chloe Portelli, Loradine Pisani and Rebekah Attard were appointed positions on the Vigilance Board.

Since there were no candidates contesting for the same position within the executive, no elections were needed.
