Readers Letter: “In July my family and I spent two weeks in Gozo on holiday, a destination we enjoy visiting every year, and toward the end of the time we visited Xlendi in the evening to see the lights.
Unfortunately I slipped and fell and badly injured my knee, and I just wanted to say a very big thank you to a young lady whom I assume was working in one of the waterfront restaurants that evening, who saw me fall and dashed over with a chair to put me on and waited with me whilst my daughter fetched her car to get me to hospital.
The young lady advised us how to find the hospital and whereabouts the casualty department was. I was admitted to hospital for a few days then repatriated to the UK for further treatment.
I do not know who the girl was but she was wonderful and I wish to thank her for her kindness and patience and good advice.
Similarly, Gozo hospital was wonderful and despite my reason for being there, I enjoyed my stay very much. You have a wonderful facility in Gozo hospital.”
