All set for BOV Istrina Campaign Collection

All set for BOV Istrina Campaign CollectionThe BOV Istrina Campaign 2008 is now in its final stages, with more than 70,000 students enthusiastically collecting funds in the piggy banks distributed to schools around Malta and Gozo.

Mrs. Mary Fenech Adami joined the BOV Istrina team in an official visit to St. Martin’s College in Swatar where she was greeted by a throng of happy schoolchildren and members of the school administration. Students at St Martin’s College gave Mrs. Fenech Adami a very warm welcome, as she showed her appreciation for the effort being made by schoolchildren, who every year put aside some of their pocket money for a good cause.

Teachers have also been very supportive of the event as they encouraged students to make small donations from their pocket money to support this national campaign of solidarity.

The amount of money collected during this year’s campaign will be announced during the transmission of Istrina 2008 on the 27th of December, which will be broadcast live on local television stations.
