3 Gozo Ministry employees suspended for alleged irregularities

The Ministry for Gozo has said that it is cooperating with the police investigation into alleged irregularities in road construction tenders from 2004 onwards, and that three Ministry employees were suspended today
The Ministry said in a statement that it had reported the the allegations to the police and on the basis of this information a magisterial inquiry has been called.
The first report was made in November 2013, with further reports made in recent weeks, the Ministry said.
Police were granted full access to the computers and documents of the three Ministry employees involved in the alleged irregularities.
The Ministry for Gozo concluded by saying that it will continue to cooperate fully with the Police and stressed that no abuse will be tolerated.
