Gozo SPCA obtains licence, but isolation/quarantine unit urgently neededGozo SPCA has announced that it has been issued its official sanctuaries licence by the Veterinary Regulations Directorate with the Ministry for the Environment, Sustainable Development and Climate Change.

The Society said that, it does however come with one proviso, that it builds an isolation/quarantine section for dogs, which it currently does not have.

“Last year we requested the Government to allow us to build one on the small plot of land opposite our centre,” Gozo SPCA said.

The Society added, “it has now become a matter of urgency that a decision is made so we can see if Gozo SPCA can continue or not”
