A photographic exhibition by Anna Pia Marceddu, is currently taking place at the Citadel, in Victoria.
Coup de Dés – is a new collection of photographic prints by Anna and are being exhibited for the first time in Gozo. The exhibition is being held in collaboration with Abraham Arte, and will remain open to the public from 9am to 3pm daily, until the 30th of July.
Anna Marceddu lives and works in Cagliari, Sardinia. She was born in 1958 and discovered photography in the mid 1980s when she frequented the gypsy community in Cagliari, Sardinia, who led her to develop a particular interest in portraits.
For more than ten years, her photographs have shed light on Sardinia, highlighting its peculiarities, from shops to markets, through to public libraries; images that were collected for various thematic publications.
Since the year 2000 Marceddu has been working with Tiscali on its telematic pole, and at the same time her attention to culture has led her to collaborate with artists and authors such as Ottavia Piccolo, Massimo Carlotto and Paolo Fresu.
Anna was in charge of the archives at the Modigliani Instiut Archives Légales Paris-Rome in Rome between 2006 and 2012.
In 2016, she was responsible for the photographic documentation for Fernande Olivier’s book, Picasso and his friends.
