Exactly one year since the Cittadella Visitors’ Centre in Victoria, Gozo opened to the public, it has been named as Best Visitor Attraction Project at the annual InstallAwards 2017.
The Cittadella Visitors Centre beat off competition from three other finalists: The Viking Ship Museum Oslo, the Cheddar Gorge Caves, UK and The Don, Bollywood Parks Dubai.
The InstallAwards, now in its fourth year, recognises the achievements of the global audio visual market and excellence in the entire pro-AV industry, focusing on the best projects in the preceding 12 months and the people who make them happen.
Sarner, the company that created the Centre, said that its brief from the Ministry for Gozo as part of the Citadel project, was to “convert and restore the city’s disused reservoirs into a visitor centre, reinforcing the historical ties that link it with Victoria and the natural landscape.”
