Free dentistry service in Gozo with the Mobile Dental Unit

An awareness campaign as well as oral health protection, in conjunction with the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the University of Malta, has been announced today by the Minister for Gozo Dr Justyne Caruana.
This campaign includes a Mobile Dental Unit, this vehicle is a fully functioning dental clinic fitted with all necessary cutting-edge dental equipment with regard to oral hygiene as well as dentistry.
Through this initiative, dental students in the same Faculty are ready to examine the mouth and teeth as well as provide advice on oral health.
This service is provided free of charge and is available to the general public in several localities around Gozo. The service will be offered between 9 pm and noon. Please see above link for information and details.
The Minister for Gozo Justyne Caruana said that this is a good opportunity to spread awareness in favour of better health in relation to teeth and the mouth, especially among children.
She remarked that many people should increase the frequency of dental check-ups, thus reducing the risk of impairment and oral and dental disorders.
The Minister concluded by thanking the Faculty of Dential Surgery at the University of Malta and also thanked the Faculty for continually striving for further awareness in this sector.
For his part, Prof. Nikolai Attard, Dean of the Faculty, thanked the Ministry for Gozo for the opportunity being given to the students and the Faculty themselves when launching this campaign.
He said that people should welcome this initiative in their own right because it is very important to look after oral hygiene.
