All fourteen Local Councils in Gozo have signed the Aalborg Charter, at the Cittadella Centre for Culture and the Arts, Victoria, where they committed themselves to jointly plan their priorities on matters concerning their resources, capabilities and aspirations that their localities offer.
Arthur Demarco of Vittoriosa won the Youth of the Year award, which has been organised by the OASI Foundation for the past 16 years.

The Apostolic Nuncio for Malta, HE Mgr. Tommaso Caputo together with the Bishop of Gozo, HE Mgr. Mario Grech, led Christ the King celebrations in Gozo.
The programme of celebrations of Christ the King started with a Eucharistic procession from the chapel of Our Lady of Mercy found at the outskirts of the village of Xewkija.
The procession was led by the mentioned distinct persons accompanied by priests, religious members, Confraternity members as well as altar boys from all over the Gozo diocese. A huge crowd followed the procession.
