EMS, GO and RIM introduce the BlackBerry

BlackBerry®Emitac Mobile Solution (EMS), GO Mobile and Research In Motion (RIM) (Nasdaq: RIMM; TSX: RIM) have announced the launch of the BlackBerry® solution in Malta. The company said that GO Mobile customers will now be able to enjoy the benefits of enhanced communications and increased productivity by using a Blackberry® smartphone to access email, browse the web, make phone calls, send and receive text and picture messages and keep organized, as well as access a wide variety of business and leisure applications while on the move.

At launch, GO Mobile will offer the BlackBerry® Bold™, BlackBerry® 8800 and BlackBerry® Pearl™ 8120 smartphones to the Maltese market. All three BlackBerry® smartphones will be available from GO and GO Mobile outlets across Malta and Gozo. To support this new range of BlackBerry® smartphones, GO Mobile will also offer powerful BlackBerry® services that will enable easy wireless access to email, Internet, multimedia and other lifestyle applications including instant messaging and social networking.

“In response to strong customer interest, we are proud to introduce these three BlackBerry® smartphones together with two service offerings – one of which is tailor-made for individual users and small businesses, while the other is offered for corporate clients,” said GO’s Chief Operations Officer Norbert Prihoda. “We are pleased with the strong relationship GO Mobile is building with EMS and Research In Motion, a relationship that will translate into cutting edge mobile services for our customers. Mobile email and Internet access no longer constitute a luxury in today’s communication-based world and our customers will be able to enjoy the full benefits of the BlackBerry® solution.”

“BlackBerry® smartphones are a perfect choice for both consumers and business professionals who want more from their mobile phone than just the ability to make calls. We are delighted to be working with EMS and GO Mobile to launch the BlackBerry® solution in Malta,” said Mark Guibert, vice president of Corporate Marketing at RIM.

“We are pleased to partner with GO Mobile to launch the BlackBerry® solution in the Maltese market,” said Babar Khan, CEO of EMS. “The GO Mobile and EMS partnership will ensure that the GO Mobile customers have access to the latest BlackBerry® smartphones and support.”
