Addressing the party faithful he said that these included “a 3-year tax exemption for Maltese companies relocating to Gozo, it will incentivise Maltese companies to give the opportunity to Gozitan employees to do teleworking from Gozo with an input of 75% on the technological and capital investment and refund the salary of each employee in Gozo up to € 10,000.

Dr Muscat added that other proposals to be undertaken will be a tunnel between Malta and Gozo, the introduction of a fast ferry service, and for parents of Gozitan students studying in Malta, a tax credit of up to €5,000.

On the subject of the Gozo Hospital, Dr Muscat said that “the proposal by PN Leader Simon Busuttil to expel foreign investors would not only mean less investment, but also that Gozitan health workers would have to work in Malta rather than in Gozo.”
