A group of volunteers from the Gozo-based Emergency Response & Rescue Corps (ERRC), have over the last six months, attended and completed an intensive course in lifeguard skills together with numerous water rescue training skills.
The hands-on course prepares these volunteers for the approaching busy summer period where the ERRC will be patrolling numerous beaches around the Maltese islands.
The ERRC is a voluntary, charitable and non-profit organisation that aims to prevent and alleviate emergency situations involving people at risk, Which it said is undertaken “with absolute impartiality and without any discrimination as to gender, nationality, religion, race, class, religious or political beliefs.”
