Art Camp Malta 2017 being held at Tal-Fanal Village in Gozo

28 artists from different EU countries are currently in Gozo taking part in the second edition of Art Camp Malta which opened on the 7th of May, at Tal-Fanal Holiday Village in Ghasri, until this coming Saturday.
Art Camp Malta is an initiative organised by the Office of the Permanent Delegation of Malta to UNESCO through the Centre of Education, Science and Culture.
This edition is also be organised in full collaboration with the Cultural Programme of Malta’s Presidency of the European Union. Art Camp Malta brings together 28 artists from EU countries and follows this similar initiative organised every two years in Andorra and previously in Malta.
The first edition of Art Camp Malta was organised in 2015 – partly at the Verdala Presidential Palace and partly in Gozo at the Villa Rundle. Followed by an exhibition and the launch of Art 2017 in Gozo last year
It is a cross-cultural meeting where artistic expression is the common and universal language; where art is the result of artists living with other artists and sharing their cultures within a wide range of activities and experiences.
One such participant is Estonian artist Markus Kasemaa, who is currently working on a multilevel project “Figure Gozo & Malta” in the frames of Gozo Art Camp 2017.
