Europe Day Celebrations in Gozo enjoyed by all at the Villa Rundle

Europe Day was celebrated on Sunday in Gozo with a family orientated event at the Villa Rundle Gardens in Victoria.
The activities to mark the occasion were organised by the Europe Direct Information Centre – Victoria Gozo, in collaboration with the European Commission Representation in Malta and the European Parliament Office in Malta.
Those who participated in this event included EUPA Malta, European Asylum Support Office, Europe for Citizens, Malta Council for Science and Technology, Central Public Library – Malta, Wasteserv Malta Ltd., Malta Organic Agricultural Movement.
There were also various EU Member State Embassies that took part by providing promotional material from their respective countries. Games and Quizzes were enjoyed by all.
Visitors were able to partake in some delicious, free food tasting of different European cuisines provided by the Institute of Tourism Studies Gozo. A book, ‘Awareness of food safety from the shop to the plate,’ which included recipes of food served during the event, was published to commemorate Europe Day.
Entertainment was provided in the Villa Rundle Gardens Greek Theatre by Alegria Flamenco Malta (Alegria Gozo), Centre Stage Dance Academy, The Turning Pointe Dance Theatre, Gozo Gymnastics Academy, Annette Portelli Said, and Novel (Band).
Children also had plenty to keep them entertained during the afternoon with Buzzy Kids Entertainment, Sunshine Arts and Crafts at The Ta’ Nikol Gallery and the European Star Mascot.
