Information on early voting for the General Election 2017Voters who intend to vote one week before polling day, owing to their being abroad or hospitalised, may personally call at 28A, St Francis Square, Victoria, Gozo or at the Office of the Electoral Commission, Counting Hall Complex, Naxxar, to effect the necessary sworn statement as from this coming Monday, the 8th of May.

The Electoral Commission has advised that the available hours are:

Monday to Friday: 8.00am till 2.00pm and from 3.00pm. till 8.00pm.

Saturdays and Sundays: 8.00am till noon.

All persons are advised that the legal deadline to effect such applications by affidavit is noon of Friday, the 26th of May, 2017. Applicants must bring their I.D. Cards.

Regarding travel arrangements for voters, the Electoral Commission said that it would like to clarify that:-

The office where applicants need to apply to register that they wish to vote on 27th of May is at the Vote Counting Complex in Naxxar;

Those voters abroad who will utilise the travel service to come to vote in Malta on the 3rd of June should ascertain that they have in their possession their voting document.

The Commission added that according to the law, under no circumstances will any voting document be issued or delivered on 2nd and 3rd June. The last day for collection is by midnight of Thursday, the 1st of June, 2017.
