Travel arrangements with Air Malta for Maltese voters abroad

The Department of Information has said that currently travel arrangements are being made with Air Malta for eligible voters residing abroad to enable them to vote in Malta at the forthcoming general election on the 3rd of June.
Air Malta will be making available return air tickets on its regular scheduled services at a charge of €90, inclusive of taxes and other charges, to persons who are eligible to vote in Malta at the forthcoming general election, the DOI said.
Any reservations may be made at the Air Malta Call Centre on this specific number: (+356) 25 99 1230. The DOI added that the Centre will be open Monday to Saturday, from 8:00am to 9:00pm, and on Sunday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, as from today.
It said that dates for inbound travel to Malta will be from 24th May 2017 to 3rd June 2017, and return travel is from 3rd June 2017 to 7th June 2017.
Persons who opt for early voting on the 27th May 2017 can travel to Malta from 24th May 2017 till 26th May 2017 to be able to apply at the Electoral Office, Evans Building, Valletta, by 12:00pm of the 26th May 2017 at the latest. They may then fly back as of the 27th May 2017, but not later than 7th June 2017, the DOI said.
The above travel arrangements are applicable for:
(a) eligible voters, including those married to foreigners, studying, working or undergoing medical treatment abroad; and
(b) dependents of the persons referred to in (a) above.
They must be eligible voters whose name appears in the Electoral Register published within five days from the publication of the General Election Writ, the DOI said.
