The presentation of a new fire engine has been made to the Emergency Response Rescue Corps of Gozo.
The Mercedes 1325 fire engine was donated to the ERRC last September by the London Fire Brigade in the presence of Prince Charles, as part of their 150th anniversary celebrations.
The Minister for Gozo, Anton Refalo was present during the ceremony in Gozo together with representatives from Sullivan Marine. The Minister said that this company is crucial to the ERRC for assistance with the vehicles that need to be imported from England (Fire Engine and ambulances) and which are shipped free from England to Malta.
Dr Refalo thanked the ERRC for their work and reiterated that this appliance along with others already in service with the ERRC, will help in assisting more people that find themselves in difficult situations.
