As part of the activities for Easter, all schools in Gozo, both Government and Church, were presented with a large wooden Easter Egg to be decorated by the pupils, with the aim of encouraging student creativity.
The Easter Eggs will be exhibited at the Villa Rundle Gardens on Easter Sunday, the 16th of April, from 10am to 4pm, during a fun event aimed for all the family to enjoy – Hip Hop Hurray. Donations collected on the day will go towards Puttinu Cares. A panel of judges will choose the most beautiful Easter Egg. Admission to this family event is free of charge.
The Minister for Gozo Dr Anton Refalo, together with members of the Easter in Gozo Committee, and representatives from Puttinu Cares, visited several schools that have been taking part in the activity to meet the pupils and view the progress of the Easter Egg decorations.
The Minister praised and thanked the students, teachers and school heads for once again participating in the scheme. He also congratulated the students on their creativity and talents.
The Minister thanked Gozo College and the Curia for their help and support, therefore ensuring the success of this popular event. He also encouraged everyone to visit the many activities taking place across the island during the Easter period.
