BOV Investor Education Programme to take place in GozoBank of Valletta has announced that it will be hosting the BOV Investor Education Programme 2017 in its Victoria Branch in Gozo.

This year’s Programme features very interesting topics as Mr John Paul Abela, the BOV Investor Relations Officer explained. “The topics chosen reflect concerns that are common to many, such as succession planning and powers of attorney. We shall also be discussing security of payments online, and our speakers will be speaking about pitfalls to avoid as well as security tips when shopping online.”

As Mr Abela said, “the BOV speakers who will be delivering the presentations are specialised in the respective areas, and the main objective of these sessions is to enable participants to make better informed decisions about their finances.”

He said that the general public has responded very well to the revision of topics, with most of the three sessions conducted so far being fully booked.

Mr Horace Laudi, BOV Regional Manager for Gozo expressed his satisfaction that this Programme is being organised for the second consecutive year in Gozo.

“Financial literacy is an important aspect of the Bank’s Corporate Responsibility. We feel responsible to help our customers navigate across financial jargon and instruments that may sound foreign and complex. As the world of finances becomes broader, it becomes critical that one is able to take informed decisions.”

Speaking about last year’s event, he said that the keen response received by the general public drove the Bank to dedicate another course to the people residing in Gozo.

The course, commencing on Tuesday, the 28th of March, is free of charge. It consists of six sessions of two hours each, and will be delivered in Maltese every Tuesday and Thursday evening for three consecutive weeks.

BOV said that no prior financial knowledge is required. However, as seating capacity is limited, booking is required. One may register by phoning 2275 7570 or by sending an email at .
