Magro winner at Gulfood Innovation Awards: Best Condiment or Sauce

Magro Brothers of Gozo is currently participating in the Gulfood Exhibition which is taking place in Dubai. Gulfood is the world’s largest annual food & beverage exhibition, welcoming professionals from all corners of the globe to meet for 5 days of business.
Over 4000 exhibitors took part this year; each provide a showcase of tastes, trends and innovations that are shaping the future of food and beverage consumption worldwide.
Magro Brothers also participated in this year’s Gulfood Innovation Awards 2017 under the section for ‘Best Condiment or Sauce’, with Pinto’s Pride Chicken Spoon Stock. This Maltese product was shortlisted from among several other contestants and ranged amongst the best 3 products together with a Portuguese Rose Vinegar and a Mediterranean Vegetable Relish.
During a gala dinner, on Sunday winners of all categories were announced. Spoon Stock liquid bouillon was the winner as the ‘Best Condiment or Sauce’ in the Gulfood Innovation Award.
The company said that Spoon Stock is one of the latest innovations created by Magro Brothers; “a liquid bouillon concentrate; offering convenience in better dosage control, with one spoonful equating to one traditional stock cube; it is fat free and has 40% less salt than traditional stock cubes found on the market; no Monosodium Glutamate or hydrogenated fats are added, and it is gluten and lactose free.”
