A new book, entitled Gozo, Mediterranean Colours, European Dream, was launched at the Ministry for Gozo in Victoria last night.
The new hard cover book was commissioned by the Ministry for Gozo and will serve as a showcase for the island on an international platform
The Minister for Gozo said that Gozo, a small island of just 67 square kilometres, is not widely know, and all too often it is left out of maps of the Mediterranean and Europe. The main purpose of the book is to serve as an advertisement for Gozo and raise international awareness of it’s unique situation.
This book is promoting, among other things, the natural, historical and cultural heritage, and of course the local inhabitants of of this unique small island in the middle of the Mediterranean.
The minister praised Fr Joseph Bezzina the books editor, and Daniel Cilia the photographer behind the lens which captured the plethora of beautiful and unique photographs.
The book is printed by the Gutenberg Press.
