BOV urges clients to use electronic payment options

Ahead of the coming long weekend, Bank of Valletta said that it is urging its clients to use electronic banking channels to effect their payments, whether they are shopping, dining with friends or family or going for a short break either in Gozo or overseas.
Speaking about the initiative, Ivo Camilleri, Executive Electronic Banking explained, “the spectrum of electronic payments offered by the Bank is becoming increasingly broader. Cards, both debit and credit, remain the most popular, although Internet and Mobile Banking are catching up. Market research shows that once a person starts using these payment methods, one truly appreciates the convenience and seamlessness that they translate into.”
“Furthermore, BOV premium credit card holders, are automatically eligible for BOV Loyalty Points with every one Euro spent. These are then redeemable against vouchers from among the Bank’s Loyalty Rewards programme partners,” explained Mr Camilleri.
