Very rare Olive Backed Pipit photographed by KSU memberEman Portelli, a hunter and member of Kaccaturi San Ubertu, today sighted and photographed a very rare bird, an Olive Backed Pipit (Anthus hodgsoni).

KSU said that this bird is very rare, even in Europe. According to Wikipedia it, “spends the summer in Pakistan, India, Nepal, China, Korea Japan, Central Asia and Russia. Occasionally a rare vagrant in western Europe. Breeds in Nepal and winters across Asia, India, and the Philippines.”
