Gozo Minister visits R A & Sons at Xewkija Industrial EstateThe Minister for Gozo, Dr Anton Refalo has paid a visit to local company R A & Sons, which not only specialises in importing goods for the construction sector, but also manufactures its own products.

Dr Refalo pointed out that it is the company in the Maltese islands to produce this variety of products for the construction industry.

The Minister said that the company, in the last three years, has invested close to three quarters of a million euro in upgrading, renewal and innovation at its plant in Xewkija. The company employs over 20 workers and has warehouses at the Hardrocks Industrial Estate Malta as well as in Italy where it exports its products.

Dr Refalo said that this is a company that believes in itself, while embracing the principles of the Maltese worker; those of integrity, creativity, and continuous dedication to the workplace.

“The company does not take the word `no’ as an answer, but remains on track to strive towards perfection of the product and its manufacturing. R A & Sons also continues to evolve according to the times and the market demand,” he said.

Dr Refalo wished every success to the company while urging other companies to not give up. He said that it is “difficult to set yourself in a really competitive field, but believe in local produce, believe in quality and in the seriousness of the manufacturing process and believe in Gozitan and Maltese Gozitan workers.
