DVDs presented by PBS for use in homes for the elderly

A large collection of DVDs of popular Maltese drama programmes have been presented by the Public Broadcasting Services (PBS) to the Parliamentary Secretary for the Rights of Disabled Persons and Active Ageing, Dr justyne Caruana.
The presentation was made during a visit to Dar Padova in Ghajnsielem, Gozo, by Dr Tonio Portughese, John Bundy and Ray Libreri
Dr Caruana said these DVDs, which includes popular television dramas, will be enjoyed by the elderly and will be distributed among nursing homes for the elderly.
She explained that this is the second such initiative following last year's presentation of a collection of radio dramas.
Parliamentary Secretary Caruana said that they will a way for the elderly to enjoy spending some quality time. They will also helpful as an aid in the work with people suffering from dementia.
