Shadow Minister for Gozo Dr Chris Said has met with the Gozo Business Chamber's Council to discuss the Chamber's Budget 2017 proposals.
These proposals were presented by the GBC to the Prime Minister in August, when they said that in tandem with last year's single proposal of the permanent link, it feels that this remains "the absolute priority as no incentive can be as good, in the long term, as having a permanent physical link. Connectivity remains the main stumbling block for business to grow in Gozo."
The GBC said that the meeting proved to be very informative, adding that "Dr Said promised to keep working for the benefit of the Gozitan Business Community."
The Shadow Minister thanked the President and members of the Business Chamber for the work they are doing in Gozo.
Dr Said also had a similar meeting with the Gozo Tourism Association to discuss the proposals made by the Association for Budget 2017, which are aimed at enhancing the tourism sector in Gozo and included points on connectivity and niche markets.
He also thanked the President and members of the GTA for their excellent work in favour of Gozo.
