The first from a new series of Cultural tours will be held on Sunday the 23rd of November 2008. During this Cultural tour, visitors will be exploring the Inquisitor’s Palace in Girgenti and Verdala Palace in Buskett. The visitors will also tour the Providence Church and the old church in Siggiewi. During the tours refreshments will also be served.
The monthly Cultural Tours are organised by the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts and form part of our annual Cultural Calendar of Events. They enhance the understanding of our local culture and serve to promote and divulge knowledge on Maltese historical heritage, traditions and skills. Indeed, past Cultural Tours have been well received and feedback for the current ones is positive. The organisers extend their appreciation to Heritage Malta and The Malta Union of Tourist Guides for their support.
Transport will leave from Floriana (next to the Independence Monument) and Sliema (opposite Nazzarene Church) at 8.45am. Tickets are €11 for adults and €8.50 for senior citizens and children. Further special reduced prices are available upon booking for the whole series of Cultural tours.
Booking together with payments can be made by not later than Wednesday 19th November 2008 at noon at the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts, 230 Republic Street, Valletta.
