74 years ago today, the community of San Lawrenz, went through one of the darkest moments in its history, when 4 women, one of them pregnant, were victims of the enemy bombs dropped on Gozo during WWII.
As a sign of respect for those that last their lives on that terrible day, at 7.00pm, this evening, the San Lawrenz Local Council together with the Saint Lawrence Parish, are organising a Mass and flower laying ceremony beneath a memorial commemorating this sad event.
The Council said that all San Lawrenz residents and those interested are invited to join in, "to show respect and appreciation to those who sacrificed their lives so that we are living in harmony today."
