Impact of the Budget on Gozo’s economic realities

The Impact of the 2009 Budget on Gozo's Economic RealitiesThe manner in which the 2009 budget will impact Gozo, and whether it meets the expectations of the Gozitans in addressing the island’s economic realities, will be the theme of a public discussion to be organised by the Circolo Gozitano at its premises, 7 Sir Adrian Dingli Street, Victoria, Gozo, on Friday, the 14th of November 2008.

The panel for the discussion will include Prof. Lino Briguglio, Mr Joe Grech, President of the Gozo Business Chamber (GBC) and Mr William Portelli, President of the Confederation of Maltese Trade Unions (CMTU), and member of the Malta Council of Economic and Social Development (MCESD). A representative of the Gozo Tourism Association will also be participating. Dr Joseph Ellis will be moderating the discussion.

This activity forms part of a programme of activities that the Circolo Gozitano periodically organises in order to draw attention the island’s needs.

Representatives of Gozo based organisations and members of the general public are invited to attend and take part in the discussion. Contributions from the floor will be allowed. The activity starts at 7.30pm
