6,682 foreign persons employed in Gozo and Malta

6,682 foreign workers were employed in Gozo and Malta up until the 27th of January the Minister for Education, Youths and Employment Louis Galea said. The Minister was replying to a Parliamentary Question put by Joseph Cassar (PN).
The Minister explained that 2,759 of the workers were from European Union countries, whilst the other 3,923 were from other parts of the world.
A large proportion of the foreigners working here in Gozo and Malta are from the United Kingdom, Serbia Montenegro, China and Bulgaria
